Our commitment to the responsible service of alcohol
Bawley Vale Estate strives to go above and beyond the minimum legal requirements of liquor sales in each Australian state and territory we commit to being a responsible member of the community in ensuring appropriate harm minimisation strategies and alcohol safety initiatives.
For online purchases of wine, the user must enter a valid date of birth to confirm they are over 18 years of age before they can proceed to checkout. We contract delivery service providers with clear written instructions not to deliver to persons under 18 years of age, or who are intoxicated.
The delivery driver will request a form of photo identification listed below to confirm age of anyone who looks under 25 years of age.
- a motor vehicle driver or rider licence or permit issued by a public authority of a state or territory or by another country,
- a proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth, a state or territory, or
- an Australian or foreign passport.
Our House Policy
Bawley Vale Estate welcomes you to taste our produce but ask that you keep in mind that excessive consumption of alcohol can have serious consequences.
We have adopted the following policy for responsible service of alcohol:
1. We will require Proof of Age to prevent underage drinking;
2. We will refuse service to intoxicated persons and will require them to leave the premises;
3. We will endeavour to prevent intoxication by recognising the signs of intoxication and avoiding serving anyone to the point of intoxication;
4. We will dissuade customers from driving after they have consumed more than the legal limit for alcohol consumption;
5. We will display this House Policy prominently within the premises

Our delivery prices start from $13 for a single bottle to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane. You will be given delivery prices at the time of checkout.
Free delivery for orders over $150 being sent to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane.
We use courier services and Australia Post depending on the destination, please allow 7-10 working days for delivery of your order. We will provide a tracking number for some orders which will assist in tracking your order. If a person over 18 is not at the address at the time of delivery, the order will become available for pickup from your nearest post office or courier depot and you will be provided pickup instructions.
We do not accept product returns.
Refunds and replacements
We do not cover any damage, faults or loss of items during shipping. Please contact us if you received a faulty or damage item, or if you did not receive your item by the expected date. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
